Although Disney and Marvel Studios gave us a brief glimpse of Oscar Isaac in action as one of Marvel Comics’ most iconic street-level vigilantes a few months ago, we now have a full, proper look at what happens when Marc Spector transforms into the Moon Knight—the answer is a snazzy white suit and a lot of violence.
The new teaser, which was released during tonight’s Wild Card NFL playoff game between the Cardinals and the Rams, better introduces us to how Isaac’s Spector becomes the living will of the Egyptian deity Khonshu. Spector first appeared in the Moon Knight comics in 1975, as a former marine turned mercenary with dissociative personality disorder who was critically injured on a mission. When Spector is taken to a temple dedicated to Khonshu to heal from his wounds, he is not only miraculously rescued from death, but also reincarnated as an avatar of the moon god, dedicated to a life of defending the defenceless from evil at any cost.

The trailer not only reintroduces us to Isaac’s Spector, but it also provides our first full look at the Moon Knight costume in action, revealing a faithful, albeit more textured-looking riff on the classic comics suit—and how it takes over Spector by almost wrapping him in it—as well as glimpses of Ethan Hawke as the series’ antagonist. Moon Knight joins She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and even an alleged Halloween-themed special inspired by Moon Knight’s first comic series, Werewolf by Night, as part of Marvel’s streaming plans for phase four of the MCU this year, while the series looks to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the box office.
Moon Knight will be available on Disney+ on March 30. Below is a new poster for the series!
