Several frequent Netflix contributors will be part of The Electric State, the new project that streaming announced this week. On the eve of the premiere of The Gray Man, Netflix revealed that it will again work with Joe and Anthony Russo on The Electric State, a film based on the novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag and which in turn will have a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, frequent collaborators of the Russo Brothers in productions such as the aforementioned The Gray Man and Avengers: Endgame .
But that’s not all because The Electric State will star Millie Bobby Brown, the actress who plays Eleven in Stranger Things, and the titular detective in Enola Holmes. All while THR revealed that Chris Pratt ( Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World ) would be negotiating to join the production. But what is The Electric State about? According to Netflix, her story is “Set in a retro-futuristic past where an orphaned teenager (Brown) traverses the American West with a robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother.”
