WhatsApp for iOS is updated: we can now listen to audio messages from anywhere in the application

After months of testing this feature, Facebook has decided to bring it to its main messaging app: WhatsApp. We are talking about the ability to listen to an audio message from any chat or part of the application. A feature that, in the latest version of WhatsApp, we can already use.

A novelty that is now available to everyone

With version 22.4.75 of WhatsApp, now available on the App Store, the ability to listen to an audio message from outside the chat in which it has been received is now a reality. Thanks to a small player at the top we can move through the entire application without interrupting playback.

After the arrival of notifications with the contact photo in them and while we wait for iMessage-style reactions to appear, Facebook continues to polish some aspects of the application with details and features to fine-tune how it works.

As with many other features, although the update reflects the change, Facebook does a gradual rollout, so it may take a few days before we can take advantage of this functionality.

While we are still waiting for an iPad app, something that, apparently, the Facebook team “would love” to do. We are seeing specific improvements that, without a doubt, are welcome. Improvements that take a long time to arrive, but are always appreciated.
