WhatsApp has not stopped improving its platform over the last few weeks with new features such as the possibility of creating your avatar to use in chats and video calls or a privacy option that will allow you to hide when you are online. Well, now, we have just learned that Meta’s proprietary messaging app has just been updated with a feature that will give you more time to repent of your inappropriate messages .
With WhatsApp, you may erase a message that has been posted for more than two days
The guys from the specialized media WABetaInfo have discovered that, in the latest Beta of WhatsApp for Android, with version number 2.22.15.8, the messaging platform has implemented a new time limit to delete a message of 2 days and 12 hours, a functionality that I had been working on for a few months. In this way, WhatsApp has updated the Delete function for everyone, which arrived on the platform in 2017, extending the time limit for deleting a message from 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds to 2 days and 12 hours. In this way, from now on, the messaging app will give you more time to regret your inappropriate or misplaced messages .
Related to this, WhatsApp is also working so that group administrators can delete a message from any member of the group. You have to remember that Telegram already allows you to delete your messages up to 48 hours after sending them and, in this sense, WhatsApp has chosen to extend this limit by an additional 12 hours, which is always something positive for all users of the messaging client. This new WhatsApp feature is gradually rolling out to some Android Beta users and is expected to be available to all Beta testers over the next few weeks .
If you want to try both this functionality and others that are coming to the messaging platform before the rest, we recommend that you sign up for the WhatsApp for Android Beta program as soon as possible.
