Most of the actors from the original version of the Avengers stopped participating in the MCU as Phase 4 progressed because the characters died in fiction or decided to hang up their capes, as is the case with Captain America, who, after returning the Infinity Stones, decided to change history to live with Peggy Carter.
Due to the above, after Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans stopped appearing but recently revealed if he will collaborate with Marvel Studios again in one of the many projects that the film studio plans or is currently developing.
In an exclusive interview with Comicbook to promote Lightyear, a film focused on the story of the Toy Story space ranger, the actor detailed whether there are plans for a possible return to the role of Captain America in the MCU.
“That seems to be something people want to see. I don’t want to put anyone off but it’s hard to do… I had a really good race and I’m happy with it. It’s very much appreciated by me. It would have to be perfect. It would be scary to share something which is, again, so, so dear to me. That role means a lot to me. So to revisit it, it would be a tall order,” the Steve Rogers actor said.
In January of last year, Deadline suggested that Chris Evans would return as Cap in an unknown project and a possible sequel to it, but until now Marvel Studios has not made anything official about it, but there is a possibility that he will have a cameo, special appearance or his role is referenced in Captain America 4.
