Google recently announced the arrival of 15 features on Android devices around the world and one of the most prominent affects Google Photos, its photo and video cloud backup application. So, from now on, this will allow you to add background blur to any image.

Before its implementation, the portrait blur mode was only compatible with images of people, but it is now possible to apply this effect to photos of pets, food, flowers, among other elements.

The best feature of this new functionality of Google Photos is that it is no longer limited to the photos you take from now on since you can use this effect in any of the ones you have saved in the application of the American giant.

Keep in mind that the portrait blur mode is applied after the photo has been taken and, therefore, it will allow you to return it to its original state if this effect fails or if you do not like the result.

Just like the photo editing features that came to Google Photos last year, this will only be available to users of a Pixel device or those with an active Google One subscription.
