Senator Lilly Téllez expressed her respect and solidarity for the elements of the Mexican Army following the broadcast of a recording that showed an armed group chasing a military convoy in Nueva Italia, Michoacán. However, she held President Andrés Manuel López Obrador responsible for the “humiliation” of those elements and demanded that he do something about it.
Along with the publication of the video showing the persecutors at work, a PAN legislator wrote on her Twitter account, “these sad images in which they are chased and humiliated are the responsibility of President López Obrador.” The statement was made in conjunction with the dissemination of the video showing the persecutors at work.

In addition, he stated that the members of the Armed Forces only “obey the orders of their maximum Chief,” who claimed that he “prostrated himself before the organized crime.” As a result of this, he expressed his respect and solidarity for the Mexican Army.

Since the afternoon of Tuesday, a 27-second video has gone viral on social networks. In the video, armed individuals are seen riding on several trucks and chasing soldiers along the road that leads from the 21st Century Highway to Apatzingán.

In order to avoid a confrontation with the armed group, the soldiers, while aboard their respective units, pick up the pace when they reach the roundabout at Cuatro Caminos.

According to the authorities in charge of maintaining order in that part of Tierra Caliente, the individuals in question are members of a criminal organization that works for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
