According to the Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk is anticipated to reaffirm his ambition to purchase Twitter Inc when he speaks to the social-media company’s staff on Thursday.
According to a story published on Wednesday, the CEO of electric car maker Tesla Inc is expected to clarify recent comments on remote employment and discuss his Twitter strategy, including the role of advertising and subscriptions.
Outside of regular business hours, Twitter and Tesla did not immediately react to Reuters’ request for comment.
According to Forbes magazine, Musk is attempting to purchase Twitter for $44 billion.
Musk stated earlier this month that Tesla staff would be obliged to work in the office for a minimum of 40 hours per week, thus prohibiting any remote work. “If you don’t show up,” he continued, “we’ll assume you’ve resigned.”
Twitter shares climbed about 5% in after-hours trade after closing up 2% on Wednesday.
