Tanya Sharma (born 6 May 1993) is an Indian actress known for her work in Punjabi cinema. She was nominated for two British Asia TV Awards, winning one for “Best Supporting Actress” for her performance in Qismat (2018).

Tanya Sharma was born on 6 May 1993 in Jamshedpur, India and is currently 26 years old and beautiful. Brought up in Amritsar and Canada, she has a younger sister, Tamannaah. She attended Guru Nanak Dev University and BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar where she won the “Best Actor Award” each year from 2012 to 2016. She has a degree in Interior Designing and Project Management. She is also a classical dancer and a national-level participant.

In 2019 Tanya was selected to play Sarabjit’s daughter for the 2016 Bollywood film Sarabjit, but she was also tested in the days when the filming was about to take place and she had to give up her role in the film. She works in Punjabi Film Industry. Tanya started her acting career with the Punjabi film ‘Qismat’ (2018).

In the same year, she worked for the film ‘Son of Manjeet Singh’. Tanya became famous with the song ‘Gallan Teriyan’ in the movie “Qismat”. Tanya has received a few awards like Miss Amritsar 2011, Best Actor of the Year (GNDU) 2012-2016, Late Sh.AS Soni Reward and she is National Level Winner for Classical Dancer in 2008.
