Sonam Bajwa is a Punjabi model and actress. Sonam was born on 16 August 1989 in Nanakmatta, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, India, and is currently 32 years old. She participated in the Femina Miss India contest in 2012. She played the leading female role in the 2014 blockbuster Punjabi film 1984. She completed her schooling at Jesse Public School, Ruspur. Sonam follows a non-vegetarian diet.

When asked in an interview that she would never do it for any project, Sonam said, would never do a kissing scene for any film, even if it is for a Hindi film. One of the reasons I am not doing Hindi films is that every other film in Bollywood has a requirement of a kissing scene.

Sonam was once selected to work with Shahrukh Khan in the Bollywood film Happy New Year. However, the role later went to Deepika Padukone.
