Android phones now include a range of options, including the ability to engage “elderly adult mode,” “reading mode,” and even “blue filter blocking.” However, there is a function that is turned on by default: the GPS.

With the GPS turned on, a variety of applications can check in which places you walk and, based on that, present you with a series of promotions or adverts. Why would you want to disable it? We’ll provide you with more arguments in this section.

One reason is that apps have a tendency to track your location. Facebook, Instagram, and even Google itself can track your movements.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FIND OUT WHICH APPS HAVE ACCESS TO MY LOCATION?

Go to your phone’s Settings to get started.
You can access applications from there.
Now select “Permissions Manager” from the drop-down menu.
Look for “Location” in the drop-down menu.
You’ll find all the programs that use your location or GPS data in that section.
Remember that you can manually turn them off one by one.
