First of all, check Google Play or App Store to see if you have the latest version of WhatsApp. Next, you must open the app and press the name of the contact, next to the photo.

When the information of the contact in question appears, you will look for the option that says “Temporary messages” and press it. It will take you to another menu where you can configure the duration of each message that is shared by this chat.

You can choose between 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days. When the time is up, they will be deleted without a trace. This includes text messages, photos, stickers, and other items you can send.
