No more static images. TikTok is currently the most downloaded application in the world and part of its success is due to its attractive short video format. Because this type of content is the protagonist on the platform, here we will show you how you can use it to replace your profile photo.

How to put a video as a profile picture on TikTok?

To get started, open the TikTok app from an Android or iOS device and go to the Profile tab located at the bottom right of the main page. Then click the Edit my profile button at the top.

In this section, it is possible to find different customization tools for the account. In this case, you will have to click on the Change video function (camera icon). If you are using this feature for the first time, your image gallery will automatically open.

Otherwise, a pop-up window will appear on the screen with the following options: change video, delete video, and watch video. There you must press the first alternative to access the gallery and choose the clip you want to place on your profile (it must be at least 20 x 20 pixels).

Once you have selected the desired material, you will enter a panel to adjust and cut the content. Since the clip can only have a maximum duration of 6 seconds, TikTok allows you to choose which fragment you want to show.

Then click the Save button in the upper right corner to finish. Ready! The video will be displayed on your profile and will loop as if it were a GIF.
