Samsung is betting on convincing a very demanding customer sector: the one that asks for good cameras. For many users, the most important thing about a smartphone is that it captures high-quality images. With the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, the South Korean company not only offers a great sensor, but also a low price.

The Galaxy A73 5G was announced alongside the A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G. It could lead in sales to the first level in the mid-range A series with a powerful 108-megapixel high-resolution camera, and although it did not announce its price, it would be the cheapest option among smartphones in its range with that level of camera. on the market according to a report on The Verge website.

According to Samsung’s press release, the Galaxy A73 5G will be available in “select markets” starting April 22.

Comparing it to its smaller siblings, the A73 5G has a 6.7-inch display, slightly larger than the A53’s 6.5-inch panel. But its great feature is its camera, with 108 megapixels, being one of the highest resolutions that exist among smartphones.

To get an idea of the size of the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G camera, the A53’s is 64 megapixels, the same main camera as that of the brand’s flagship, the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Other features of the Galaxy A73 5G camera

While high megapixels aren’t the most important thing in a smartphone camera, the Galaxy A73 5G’s 108-megapixel sensor isn’t a Samsung sales gimmick.

The 108-megapixel sensor is one of four cameras on the rear of the Galaxy A73, which also includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor.

Samsung’s product page for the Galaxy A73 5G doesn’t mention which processor the device has. It appears simply as a 2.4 GHz, 1.80 GHz octa-core, but is reportedly a Snapdragon 778G.

Another of the specifications of the Galaxy A73, in addition to 5G connectivity, is a 5000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging, but the equipment does not include a charger, only the USB cable. In addition, Samsung will launch two versions, one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and another with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of space.

The device, on sale since April, has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and a microSD slot that will accept cards with a capacity of up to 1TB.
