Samsung will roll out the Expert Raw professional photography app to more high-end Galaxy phones in the first half of this year, including the Z Fold 3, S20 Ultra, and Note 20 Ultra.
The Expert RAW app is independent of Samsung’s native camera, designed to use Pro mode and get the most out of the lenses that make up the mobile device’s main camera with professional settings.
The list of Galaxy smartphones that can support this application will be expanded over the coming months, according to the roadmap shared by Samsung in its community forum in South Korea.
What teams will it be available on?
Thus, from February 25, it will be available for the models:
- Galaxy S22
- S22Plus
- S22 Ultra (although in the latter it already comes as standard)
- In early March it will arrive on S21 Ultra
- In April it will be the turn of Z Fold 3
- Within the first half of 2022, it will also land on S20 Ultra, Note20 Ultra and Z Fold 2.
For later
When the time comes, the ‘app’ can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store. But not all higher-end Galaxy phones are compatible with this application, and this is due to the minimum characteristics that it requires: Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a telephoto camera with a two-fold optical zoom (2x ) and support for Bayer RAW.
