Apple is holding an event on March 8, 2022, where it is expected to unveil an updated iPad Air and a new iPhone SE, rumoured to be called iPhone SE+ 5G. The new budget device is expected to start at $300 and integrate the A15 Bionic chip.
However, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has just revealed new details. He notes that it will come in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options, as well as three colours: white, black, and red.
Kuo also adds that the 2022 iPhone SE will go into mass production this month and that Apple is estimated to ship 25-30 million units of the smartphone in 2022.
While the iPhone SE+ 5G will come with some improvements over its predecessor, there will be no major design changes as it is expected to keep the same old design similar to the iPhone 8 from 2017.
On the other hand, analyst John Donovan says the new model could start at $300. That’s $99 less than the base price of the iPhone SE (2020). However, another analyst Daniel Ives thinks Apple will keep the base price of $399.
