It seems that a mystery was revealed much earlier than expected and now we have almost by surprise discovered the design that the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max would have.
We are at that time of the year when, almost naturally, the first solid leaks about the next generation of smartphones produced by Apple begin to circulate.
In this case, the turn would correspond to the iPhone 14. Usually, in the months of March, the information that circulates is about the general qualities of the cameras and the functions that could be integrated.
However, this time we have received a disconcerting surprise, with a juicy leak about the design and measurements of the Pro and Pro Max models.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max would be like an iPhone 13
From the Twitter account of the specialized journalist Max Weinbach comes the leak of a supposed technical illustration of schematics, where the appearance and dimensions of the iPhone 14 Pro Max are shown.
The disturbing point is that the design details shown in both illustrations look like some other leaks from past models that were proven to be true at the time. So it is worth taking very seriously what is shown here:

You don’t have to focus on the numbers to realize that, at least at first glance, the new generation of Apple phones will be very similar in design to the current one.
The interesting point comes when we compare both filtered models with the dimensions and qualities of the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, to find that the differences are not many but subtle:
Model | body dimensions | chamber dimensions |
iPhone 13 Pro | 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.65mm
iPhone 14 Pro | 147.46 x 71.45 x 7.85mm | 38.24×36.71mm |
iPhone 13 ProMax | 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.65mm
iPhone 14 ProMax | 160.7 x 77.58 x 7.85mm | 38.21 x 36.73mm |
As we can see, in some cases the difference between one phone and the other is just a fraction of millimeters.
This could also be considered an obvious sign that Apple would then focus all its innovation efforts elsewhere.
For now, the most obvious thing would be that the company will integrate a new generation of processors while improving the performance of the camera, the screen and even the exiled Touch ID could finally return (now with the sensor under the screen) as a complement to Face ID.
Something very true is that the schematic illustrations end up partially strengthening other previous leaks referring to the front design of the device.
So it seems that everything shown here could be real. Although it would be necessary to wait until September to verify it.
