Google Photos is testing a new interface for images with text in which it has included a floating toolbar that facilitates access to different editing tools, including Lens.

Instead of having to press the ‘Edit’ button, located at the bottom of the photo, with this floating bar users will be able to access editing functions such as ‘Copy text’ or ‘Search’, as verified by 9to5Google.

New Options

Other options included in this quick access bar are ‘Cut’, to select a part of the image, or ‘Listen’, so that the assistant narrates the text that is included in this photograph.

This floating menu also includes direct access to Google Lens, a service that already integrates the Google Photos application itself. In addition to this, the application has the options of ‘Share’, ‘Delete’ and the aforementioned ‘Edit’.

From this portal, they indicate that this double access with the same purpose may be due to the fact that Google is currently working on this interface and that it is still subject to modifications and adjustments.

What do you think?
