Does Oppo have an application of hidden camera detector?

The new devices of the Chinese company will have a particular infrared detection system.

Have you ever had the mistrust of feeling recorded in a private space? Well, apparently the Oppo developers do, that’s why they work on a particular application for their new equipment.

The application is called Hidden Camera App, and its main function is to detect hidden cameras in a private place, such as rooms or halls.

Despite the fact that no details of the operation of the new application have been given, from the same website they have given clues about how this tool detects the infrared of the recording devices.

Hidden Camera App

The application is in the Beta phase for users who are in Chinese territory with Oppo Find X5 and X5 Pro devices.

How can I use it?

The first reports of users from the Asian country indicate that to use this particular application they must:

Step 1: Have Color OS 12.1 (a version of OPPO’s customization layer for Android OS)
Step 2: Download Oppo App Market app and then Hidden Camera App
Step 3: Turn off Wi-Fi and hotspot
Step 4: When entering the application, the user must turn off and turn on the light of the room where he is so that the infrared light of the camera can be detected.
Step 5: If the phone discovers a covert camera in the room, it will notify you under the premise of “hot-cold”, where there is a greater presence of “heat”, because the closer they are to the location of that camera.

It is unknown when it will be officially launched both in China and in the rest of the world.

What do you think?
