Apple attacks the two weak points of its Home app

The Home app is the epicenter of our smart homes and Apple, aware of this, has decided to adopt several important changes. The first is related to usability since the application has been redesigned to make it more intuitive and accessible from our iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.
Among other things, we see that some accessories such as cameras are given greater prominence, placing them at the top of it so that we can enter them more quickly. All the accessories are now housed in smaller buttons that allow you to have more of a glance on the main screen.

Although the change in HomeKit stands out for something, it is because of Apple’s integration with the Matter home automation standard, which began to take shape several years ago and became official last year with Google, Amazon, and Apple itself as the main stakeholders. This is a standard that allows home automation accessories such as light bulbs, cameras, and many others to be universalized.
It is a reality that HomeKit accessories are usually less common than those compatible with other systems such as those of the aforementioned Google or Alexa (Amazon). In this way, Apple encourages manufacturers to adopt this standard. The leading companies in the home automation sector are already working with it.
