Stage Manager, Spotlight, Metal 3, and a boost to gaming
macOS Ventura introduces a new way to manage open application windows called Stage Manager, which places all the windows that we have in the background on the side from where we can easily manage them.
We also have news in Spotlight, whose results become much more complete, being able to carry out actions directly from the search engine and without having to open applications.
Metal 3 gives us the hopeful news for gamers: the new version of this graphics engine allows you to increase the resolution and graphics performance so that the most demanding games run smoothly on Apple computers. And to eliminate skepticism, Apple has confirmed the arrival of No Man’s Sky and Resident Evil Village on macOS thanks to this Metal 3. Great news.
The tagline is given by an improvement to Continuity, which allows us to use iPhones as video conference cameras on the Mac and enjoy advantages such as Center Stage. And if we have wide-angle cameras on the iPhone, we can use it as a different video source that focuses on our table from above. The streamers just raised an eyebrow.
MacOS 13: availability and release date
macOS 13 Ventura will roll out across several betas builds this summer, with a final, stable release scheduled for September or October. The update will be free for all compatible computers.
