Earlier, the record for the fastest 100 sixes was in the name of Pant. At the same time, the record for the fastest 100 sixes in IPL is held by Andre Russell and Chris Gayle of West Indies. Russell had completed 100 sixes in 657 balls and Gayle had completed 100 sixes in 943 balls. After this comes Pandya’s number. Hardik hit a 42-ball fifty, which is the slowest fifty by him in the IPL. Earlier in 2018, he scored a half-century in 41 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the match against Hyderabad, Hardik did not hit a single boundary after the 13th over. This was the reason that Gujarat could score only 162 runs in 20 overs.
