Bengaluru lock horns with Blasters at sold-out Kanteerava

Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC is set to hit a home run as they prepare to welcome Kerala Blasters to the Kanteerava Stadium for the first of their last three League matches, all of which they play at the Fortress. All of these matches take place in Bengaluru. The Blues, who have won their previous five games in a row, will be looking to add urgency to their playoff ambitions with a victory over the Men in Yellow on Saturday.

“Thanks to the recent successes and accomplishments, we find ourselves in a constructive frame of mind. The athletes are full with self-assurance. The game that we play tomorrow is another significant step for us to take towards reaching our final destination.

“I’m really looking forward to the game, and I anticipate it to be a wonderful environment in the stadium as well,” said Blues Head Coach Simon Grayson while addressing the media before to the game on Saturday. “I’m expecting it to be an unbelievable atmosphere at the stadium.”

Both teams enter into the match on Saturday night having won their previous games by a score of 2-1, with the Blues prevailing on the road against ATK Mohun Bagan and the Kerala Blasters prevailing against Chennaiyin FC. On Saturday, the two teams will compete against one another for the 12th time in the Indian Super League.

The Blues have taken six of the last 11 encounters between these two teams, although there have been three draws in this match. When these two teams played earlier in the season in Kochi, Basters emerged victorious with a 3-2 score. Sunil Chhetri and Javi Hernandez scored for the Blues in that matchup.

Kochi provided me with a taste of the intense competition that exists between the two squads. As a group, we need to make sure that we play the game with our heads and our hearts, and that we demonstrate the level of enthusiasm and drive that is necessary for each ISL match.

When we last met them, we did not play very well in the opening half of the game. However, tomorrow presents still another opportunity to secure the three points that are at stake. Grayson said, “As a group, we need to start thinking about how to carry out the game plans that we’ve been working on.”

The Blues will attempt to prevent Dimitrios Diamantakos, Ivan Kaliuzhnyi, and Adrian Luna from dominating the game by keeping them at bay. This season, Diamantakos has scored the most goals for the Kerala Blasters, with a total of nine goals to his credit.

Luna, on the other hand, has provided the most assists for the team with a total of six assists. In addition, the Uruguayan has been directly responsible for 43 opportunities, which places him first in Ivan Vukomanovic’s squad and third in the League.

Grayson had this to say about the schedule: “There are no easy games in this League regardless of the opponent being top or bottom of the league. There are no easy games in this League.” After determining the strengths and weaknesses of the team that will be our next opponent, we must first focus on winning the game at hand before moving on to the next contest.

The Blues manager will not have Suresh Singh Wangjam available for selection since the midfielder received his fourth yellow card of the season in the match against ATK Mohun Bagan. This will prevent Suresh Singh Wangjam from participating in the match. It is possible that individuals like Bruno Ramires, who are capable of becoming a force in the centre of the park, would be given a chance to shine as a result of the absence of the key midfielder.

The Englishman will put his faith once again in his forwards, Sivasakthi and Roy Krishna, in the hopes that they would maintain their strong run of form. The Fijian will be especially excited to play against Ivan Vukomanovic’s team since he has scored four goals against them in the League over the course of seven matches.

“I have no doubt that someone else will step in and take up Suresh’s responsibilities. A good many of our guys have been keeping their eyes peeled for a chance like this one. Our backup players are quite capable, and they might contribute to our victory. If everything is going according to plan, then the team won’t undergo any changes.

You can see the confidence Roy and Siva have gained from playing together over the course of the previous five games. The exact same thing can be stated about our defensive and midfield units. When questioned about the absence of the midfielder and how it would effect the balance of the side, Grayson pondered that “it’s all about developing a settled team,” which was his response to the question.

The Blues will be only three points behind Ivan Vukomanovic’s team in the league rankings if they win on Saturday. Ivan Vukomanovic’s side is now third in the ISL points table with 31 points. The Blues will have 28 points if they win on Saturday.
