R’Bonney Gabriel won the title of Miss Universe 2023. Miss USA is the first American of Filipino descent to win this pageant. It is also the record-breaking ninth victory of the United States in the history of Miss Universe. Miss Poland did not qualify for the final 16.
The 71st Miss Universe final is behind us . The most beautiful was named Miss USA, R’Bonney Gabriel. The American won at home because the ceremony was held in New Orleans. Miss Poland, Aleksandra Klepaczka, did not advance to the final 16.

R’Bonney Gabriel, 28, is the first Filipino-American to win the Miss Universe title . Her father came to the US from the Philippines years ago with only $20 in his pocket. The new beauty queen loves backpacking and hula hooping.
The United States currently has a record nine Miss Universe pageant victories. Second on the podium is Venezuela with seven wins, and third Puerto Rico with five wins.
In this year’s edition, representatives from Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, India, Curacao, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Canada, USA, Portugal, South Africa, Laos, Dominican Republic, Australia, Haiti and Puerto Rico advanced to the final 16. The 2nd runner-up was Miss Dominican Republic Andreina Martinez, and the 1st runner-up was Miss Amanda Dudamel, who represented Venezuela.
In this year’s edition of the competition, the organizers’ decision to admit Russia to it caused outrage. There were many protests from Internet users who did not understand why the war aggressor was taking part in an international beauty pageant. Miss Russia appeared in a blood-red creation, which was supposed to symbolize the strength and power of the Russian Empire. In turn, Miss Ukraine put on an anti-war angel costume.
