The scar may have been explained in a non-canon animated version of Clone Wars. But George Lucas prefers his version.

All of us who are fans of science fiction movies are in every dialogue, every scene and specific detail, not only of the locations but of the characters, clothing and objects they use. So over the years, we keep asking ourselves the same question when we see the second Star Wars trilogy. What happened to Anakin’s face during Revenge of the Sith?

It is the third film of this second trilogy and the one in charge of showing us the most surprising events of this saga: the final transformation of Anakin to Darth Vader in his jump towards the dark side of The Force.

However, during the film, we see Anakin, played by Hayden Christensen, with a scar on his face that no one understands. In Attack of the Clones he didn’t have it; It is true that he fought and defended the Republic with his body, but we never saw anyone cause that wound.

For this reason, whenever there is an interview with an expert, George Lucas is asked where the wound on Anakin’s face came from. What we did not know was that the answer he was going to give would be as unusual as the one he revealed to Pablo Hidalgo, who reflected it in his detailed set diary of this wide franchise.

Anakin’s scar

This inexplicable scar on Anakin’s face is justified by Geoge Lucas with a statement that seems to have been issued as if to get out of a jam. The problem is that it was left and how Lucas is the master creator of all these stories there is no case: that is the official reason for the wound on Skywalker’s face.

The dialogue that Pablo Hidalgo captures in his diary, reviewed on the LiveAbout portal, reads as follows:

“So how did Anakin get that scar, George?” John Knoll asks. ‘I do not know. Ask Howard,’ George says, referring to Lucas Licensing president Howard Roffman. ‘That’s one of those things that happens in the novels between the movies. he has to explain how he got there. I think Anakin made him slip in the bathtub, but of course, he’s not going to tell anyone,” George Lucas blurted out.

What is Pablo Hidalgo’s diary set?

Chilean by birth and nationalized Canadian, Pablo Hidalgo is an author of materials for the Star Wars franchise. He is one of the founding members of the Star Wars Fanboy Association. He currently works for Lucasfilm in the Lucasfilm Story Group section.

His brilliant mind and immense knowledge of the Star Wars universe has earned him the responsibility of developing material for role-playing games and some comics. The official fandom defines that the current work of the Chilean-Canadian under the administration of the Disney Company is to prevent details of the canon stories from escaping.
