Eiza González is about to release Godzilla vs Kong, one of the most anticipated films of the year and one of the most important in her career.

In her wide path to fame, films such as the Oscar-nominated Baby Drive, Bloodshot, Cut Throat City, Fast and Furious, Welcome to Marwen, and recently I Care A Lot, a film that stars alongside Rosamund Pike, a British actress nominated for the Golden Globe for the same project.
Like many stars of international stature, Eiza has tried her luck in other areas of the entertainment industry beyond the cinema, being a model and a professional singer.
Read on to learn about the 31-year-old star.
Started acting at age 13
Eliza found her calling at 13 when she was enrolled in an acting course at M&M Studio, run by fellow Mexican actress Patricia Reyes Spindola.
It was at 14 that she began studying acting at the Center for Artistic Education. She only waited two years to get her first leading role in the youth telenovela Lola érase Una Vez as Lola Valente.
At 17, she left Mexico to study at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York.
Her mother was a model
The influence which Eiza carries in terms of modeling was inherited from her mother Glenda Reyna, a former Mexican model and judge of the reality show Mexico’s Next Top Model.
When her father, Carlos González, died in a motorcycle accident, Eiza was left in the care of her mother.
The death of her father had a great impact on her life.
Carlos González died when Eiza was only 12 years old. From the fateful accident, the actress developed depression and eating disorders.
“I lost my father very young, but not young enough that I didn’t realize what was going on,” she said in an interview with Allure.
“My father and I had an incredible relationship. We were very united. I fell into a very dark place and couldn’t deal with the loss. I started to overeat and put on a lot of weight, and I was very sad.”
You have excellent English pronunciation
According to an analysis by blogger Superholly, Eiza has a very good pronunciation, perhaps better than any Mexican and Latin actress in general, so much so that she seems to be a native American.
This is based on the way she speaks, the accents, the pronunciation, the vocabulary.
Although Eiza had plenty of resources and educational opportunities from her mother, Eiza has been polishing her talent for the language since she was young and now with her super job as an actress.
According to Superholly, the celebrity is very fluent in vowel and consonant sounds, and can even speak with American and Scottish accents.
Her English-language debut was in From Dusk to the Dawn: The Series.
Like her compatriot, Salma Hayek, Eiza conquered the industry with her performance on this show, the first entirely in English in her career.
In 2013, she took on the same role as Hayek, that of Santanico Pandemonium, in the film of the same name.
The talent that she impressed on him and the success that the production became caused it to be renewed for a second season.
You like to keep your personal life private.
Although she has been caught by the paparazzi countless times in public living her life in California and enjoying her relationships, the 31-year-old actress tries to keep her life on the down-low.
After being photographed making out with Liam Hemsworth in 2013, the actress was asked about the details of their romance, to which Eiza bluntly replied “I would never talk about it. I focus on my work, that’s what really matters.”gh admitted that as a public figure it is difficult to hide her personal life.
Her net worth is on the rise
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Eiza has a budding fortune of $5 million, but with the projects, she’s been filming recently and with future ones, that net worth promises to grow rapidly.
It is currently unknown how much she receives for movies and television series in which she acts.
She is an established singer
It was in 2009 when she made her debut as a singer with her studio album Contracorriente, which she recorded with EMI Televisa, a company where she worked in Mexico.
Said album turned out to be a success in Latin America and the United States, in Mexico, it was positioned at number 13 on the list of the best albums in the country between 2009 and 2010.
The second album was released in 2012, although not with the same success as the first. Under the name You will remember me, the album achieved a number 14 spot on the US Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart.
She does not like to be pigeonholed or placed in a certain stereotype
“If you google some actresses and it says ‘actress’. But if you Google me, it’s ‘Mexican actress’, that’s the stereotype I want to break. As an actress, that’s my agenda. If that means taking on smaller roles, that will help get to that place and be seen in a different light. I want people to say ‘Oh, she went and did this, but then she went and did that.’ That, to me, is the idea,” she told ET .
Recently, after the controversy of the courtships of the singer Belinda arose, Eiza attracted attention for all the boyfriends she has had since moving to Los Angeles and rejected any misogynistic comparison with Belinda.
“Please do not use me as an example to denigrate or minimize any woman. Never. Neither her career, nor her personal life, much less her physical life. It is completely unacceptable and not something I believe in or want to be a part of. Thanks.” she wrote on Twitter.
She has a long love history
From before arriving in Hollywood and until now, Eiza has been lovingly linked with various celebrities.
They include Alejandro Fernández, Pepe Díaz, Liam Hemsworth , DJ Corona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Calvin Harris, Maluma, Josh Duhamel, Luke Bracey, Timothée Chalamet , Dusty Lachowicz and recently with a mystery man she was seen kissing outside of a nightclub in Los Angeles.
Although some were official, others have only been linked to him by going out to dinner or by rumors .
