“Beauty was my way of being special”

In her book entitled “My Body”, 30-year-old Ratakowski analyzes the price of beauty that she had to pay herself. From a very young age, Ratakowski realized that her appearance made her stand out, especially in the eyes of her parents.

“I was trying to figure out exactly where my parents thought I belonged in the world of beauty. “It seemed important for both of them, especially for my mother, to consider their daughter beautiful,” the model writes.
