This Monday Beyoncé made her return with BREAK MY SOUL, a single that leads the release of her next studio album entitled RENAISSANCE.
The production of the song has credits from Beyoncé herself, R&B legend The Dream, and Tricky Stewart, responsible for hits like Justin Bieber’s Baby or Rihanna’s Umbrella.
BREAK MY SOUL samples Robin S.’s classic Show Me Love and features the ‘loop’ taken from Big Freedia ‘s Explode to complement the song’s near-house rhythmic intent.
The song has a summer vibe and its lyrics have an empowering and motivational speech. It is already available on the main music platforms.
Since 2016, Beyoncé has not released a studio album. That time it was Lemonade, which took the world by storm and it became known that she is back with something new soon.
The announcement was made by Spotify from its Twitter account. “The countdown has officially begun. Beyoncé is back on July 29,” the platform noted.
In addition to this message, the ad is accompanied by a photograph that says: “Act 1 – RENAISSANCE”.
The last thing Beyoncé was involved in musically was The Lion King soundtrack. She also did with her husband De Ella Everything Is Love in 2018 and Homecoming: The Live Album, her live album.
