The release date of Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Jersey’ has been extended once again. The film was supposed to release this Friday but the makers said that it will now hit the theaters on April 22. Actor Yash’s much-awaited film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ will be released this week. Apart from this, Vijay and Pooja Hegde’s starrer ‘Beast’ will also knock in theaters this Friday. The especially tremendous craze is being seen about ‘KGF’. The way South films have dominated in the last few months, the same is expected from ‘KGF’. After the postponement of the release date of ‘Jersey’, such speculations are being made that the makers are not in a mood to compete with both the films. Now Shahid’s reaction has come on the film.

What Shahid said about the film

Shahid told that he too thought about it but both the films are of different genres. Speaking to India Today, Shahid said, “We definitely thought about it. Everyone thinks. It’s a big holiday. A lot of big films may release on holidays and I think Beast is for a different market. KGF 2 is an action movie. To a large extent, our film is a family film. There are many different genres of films. We think it’s okay.’

Makers released statement

On Monday, ‘Jersey’ producer Aman Gill issued a statement saying, “As a team, we shed blood, sweat and tears for Jersey and we want to take the film to a bigger level. Now Jersey will release on April 22.
