All Brazilians aged 16 and over have until May 4th to request the first copy of the voter registration card or regularize it in time to vote in the 2022 Elections. The procedure can be done online, through the Título Net.
The first round of voting is scheduled for October 2. The second round, in the states and nationally, if necessary, will take place on October 30, the last Sunday of the month.
“To avoid setbacks, it is important to request the first copy or regularize the title as soon as possible, because in the last days of the term the demand for the service is high”, says the TSE.
The Elections Law determines the closing of the Electoral Register 150 days before each election. During this period, people can resolve pending issues such as the transfer of electoral domicile or others arising from absence or justification in the last three elections.
How to make it?
To regularize the status of the voter registration card or the withdrawal of the first copy of the document, it must be requested by the Título Net system, on the Portal of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). You will need to attach an official document with a photo, proof of residence, proof of payment of debt with the Electoral Justice and proof of discharge from military service.
To obtain the document for the first time, it is necessary that the future voter inform, on the application page of the Título-Net system, the unit of the federation in which he/she resides. After this procedure, information about the scanning of the documents necessary for the request appears on the screen:
- A selfie-like photo holding an ID document;
- Up-to-date proof of residency;
- Military service discharge certificate, for men aged 18 to 45.
On the next page, under “Voter Title”, when requesting the first copy, the person needs to check the “I don’t have” option to proceed with the service. After sending the data, the documents will be analyzed by the Electoral Court. The tracking of the request can also be done through the website.
Those who wish to make any changes to the electoral register should check the situation with the Electoral Court, also on the internet. Then, it is necessary to access the Título-Net system, request a request for the desired service and send the necessary documentation for regularization.
e-Title
Another way to consult any pending issues with the Electoral Court is through the e-Título application. The tool can also be used as a digital electoral document, replacing the paper document on election day.
To use, it is necessary to download it for free on mobile phones or tablets of any Android or iOS platform.
