Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced on Thursday that the country has amputated diplomatic ties with Russia.

While writing this news, Russia has already entered the Ukrainian city of Kyiv, and Ukraine is now surrounded on three sides by Russian forces. Russia has also launched more than 30 attacks on Ukraine till now. For Ukraine, the situation is rapidly deteriorating. Also, UK Prime Minister and Conservative Party Leader Boris Johnson have released a statement saying that they stand by Ukraine during these challenging times.

In the letter, the LoP stated that around 18,000 Indians, largely Malayalis, are stuck in Ukraine and that with a severe lack of flights and increasing prices, many of them, particularly students, are unable to pay for the tickets. The struggle to protect Indians is still underway.

It has been suggested to stay calm and relaxed till the situation has been resolved slightly. On Thursday, India’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Partha Satpathy, advised Indian citizens living in the country to remain patient and confront the situation with courage. He also asked individuals trapped in Kyiv to contact friends and family there.
