Lara Gut-Behrami, a Swiss ski racer who just won a World Cup Super-G in St. Moritz, has tested positive for the coronavirus. According to a Swiss Ski broadcast, she had moderate cold symptoms, like two caretakers, and fled Val d’Isere. All three PCR tests reviewed in Switzerland were positive. The other Swiss team members’ tests came back negative.
“Lara Gut-Behrami is in isolation and will miss the events this weekend in Val d’Isere and next week in Courchevel,” according to the Swiss Ski Association. Gut-Behrami had taken part in downhill training in Val d’Isere on Thursday but had already missed it on Friday.
