According to police sources, a 21-year-old guy nabbed in Kotdwar in Pauri district in connection with the infamous Bulli Bai cellphone app is a student at a Delhi University campus.

Mayank Rawat, the son of Army Subedar Pradeep Rawat, is a student at Zakir Hussain College studying Chemistry with honours.
Mayank, a native of Kotdwar’s Nimbhuchaud region, had returned home for holiday, authorities added.

He informed his interrogators that he made his Twitter account in 2020 and has a large number of virtual pals after being apprehended by the Mumbai Police between 2-3 a.m.

He stated that on December 31, he received a link via a message and was urged to join. He admits to taking between seven and eight screenshots and posting them to his timeline.

However, after he saw that a FIR had been recorded on the app, he immediately deleted it. The police found his cellphone, which included offensive screenshots and posts posted by him, authorities added.

On Tuesday, another arrest was made in the case of a lady from Rudrapur in the Udham Singh Nagar district.
