Through her Instagram account, actress Milla Jovovich wrote a moving message related to the war between Russia and Ukraine. “I am heartbroken and trying to process the events that happened this week in my birthplace Ukraine. My country and my people have been bombed. My friends and family are hiding. My blood and roots come from Russia and Ukraine,” Jovovich shared.

Likewise, Jovovich mentioned: “I break in two as I watch the horror that unfolds, the country being destroyed, the families displaced, their entire lives lying in charred fragments around them.” Milla’s publication is a way in which the actress is trying to raise awareness among her followers, as she added a link to support her in this difficult situation.

In the same vein, Milla wrote: “I remember the war in my father’s homeland, the former Yugoslavia, and the stories my family tells about the trauma and terror they experienced. War. Always war. Leaders who cannot bring peace. The endless monster of imperialism. And always, the people pay with bloodshed and tears.

Currently, the actress lives in the United States with her three daughters: Ever Anderson Jovovic, Dashiel Edan Anderson, Osian Lark Elliot Jovovich-Anderson. She had all three girls with her husband Paul WS Anderson, who has been her partner since 2009. And they recently celebrated the second birthday of her youngest daughter.
