This coming February 10, the new movie starring Jennifer López , “ Marry Me ”, whose main character leads a life very similar to hers, will be released.
The film is directed by the filmmaker Kat Coiro , whose work we have seen in films like “Life Happens” (2011), or “A Case of You” (2013). In addition, “Marry Me” represents Maluma ‘s debut in Hollywood.

As for the story, it introduces us to Kat Valdez , a renowned singer, who is about to marry Bastian (Maluma), a rising young star. Kat realizes that her partner is cheating on her with her assistant, just as she is about to marry him in the middle of a concert.
In revenge for her infidelity, the singer decides to continue with everything planned, only she will no longer marry Bastian, but Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson), a math teacher who is part of the public, and who is there only for her daughter, Lou (Chloe Coleman).
FROM JENNIFER LOPEZ TO KAT VALDEZ
About this new role, Jennifer has revealed that “This film is very personal because I know that life very well. It was literally a real look at what it means to be a celebrity.”
Likewise, the dancer stressed that her great fame has not changed her in a negative way, explaining that “Remembering where I come from has always kept me grounded. I don’t feel different from that person, and that’s what people tend to forget. I’m still the same. This is just a part of my life that has grown and expanded, but I’m still a person”.

For her part, Coiro pointed out that the interpreter of “ On The Floor ” contributed a lot to the character, especially in specific situations in which she wondered what Kat would do in such a scenario.
