Horror at the terrible bloody deed in Denmark’s capital! Three people were shot dead in the “Field’s” shopping center early Sunday evening. Three other people are seriously injured and in critical condition. A 22-year-old was arrested and has now confessed to the crime.
Only about 600 meters from the shopping center Harry Styles – currently one of the greatest solo artists in the world – should and wanted to give his concert in the Royal Arena from 8 p.m. (local time). The gig was canceled and Harry Styles took to Twitter. The ex-One Direction star sent his condolences to the victims and their families: “I’m heartbroken, as are the people of Copenhagen. I admire this city. People are so warm and full of love,” the 28-year-old wrote on Twitter. The singer continued, “I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please take care of each other. ”It is still unclear whether and when the concert will be rescheduled.
While there is much love for Harry’s words from his fans, hundreds of users online have criticized the actions of concert promoter Live Nation. After the shots became known, the organizers initially announced on Facebook that they would still allow the concert to take place. That was before any fatalities were known. Then an update followed that the concert was canceled. Live Nation said this was done on the orders of the Danish police.
The British “Daily Mail” spoke to some Harry Styles fans on the night from Sunday to Monday, who made the pilgrimage to the concert hall and were already waiting inside for their idol. And witnessed the horror. Family father Hans Christian Stoltz (53) wanted to visit Harry Styles’ concert with his daughters. He says: “My oldest daughter, who is 18, is completely exhausted. My other daughter was caught up in the commotion that broke out as the perpetrator fired shots everywhere. She fell over chairs and was bumped into. It was awful”.
Stolz’s 18-year-old daughter Cassandra also spoke up, telling of the horror: “We didn’t know what to do, so we ran. People led us to the exit sign and we ran to the roof. We were stuck there for a while, people were panicking and crying everywhere.”
