Jennifer Lopez has come under fire from Gloria Estefan for statements she made recently regarding performing at the Super Bowl 2020 alongside Shakira. Estefan blasted Jennifer Lopez for her comments. Following the release of Lopez’s documentary Halftime, which depicted Estefan’s shock at Shakira being named co-star of the sports event, Estefan has provided her comment.
The Cuban-American singer and actress disclosed this information during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She stated that she was offered the opportunity to accompany the ladies on stage. Estefan, who declined the opportunity to play alongside J.Lo and the artist known as Waka Waka, stated, “Look, here is the end product. You have a very limited amount of time, perhaps 12 minutes, to have things set up and ready to go.
“So, are you able to get it done with one person? Yes, but I get the impression that they wanted to put on a huge Latin and Miami spectacle, and I guess that’s why they attempted to cram as much as they could, “Additionally, she said. She proceeded by calling Jennifer Lopez out for her criticisms of the performances, and then she remarked, “Okay, now image what J.Lo would have said if I was the third (performer)”
“I would actually go out, dance the ‘Conga’ to the song ‘Shake Your Body,’ and then go. It was her turn to speak. In addition, I had no intention of beginning a diet in the month of December, “Estefan remarked. In the documentary that she made for Netflix called Halftime, Jennifer Lopez commented, “We have six minutes (crap).
There will be times when we break out into song. This is not going to be a dance-themed variety show (expletive). It is necessary for us to sing our message. Two individuals competing in the Super Bowl is the single worst concept that could ever be conceived. It was the worst idea in the history of the planet,” J. Lo continued.
