The Brazilian beauty queen Gleycy Correia died this Monday, June 20, in a private hospital in Macaé, after being hospitalized for about two months.

The news was confirmed by family and friends of the 27-year-old model, who won the Brasil Continentes Unidos contest in 2018 and was in a coma after undergoing tonsil surgery.

“Simple, sweet, kind, and very loved girl. Always concerned about the well-being of her parents, siblings, and her nephews… How much humility in one person! As successful as she was, nothing went to her head!” said a friend on Facebook.

“All the time I was at the door of that hospital, I cried out for a miracle, and as much as I don’t understand God’s purposes and designs, it happened,” lamented another friend.

“It’s hurting too much. As long as our reunion does not happen, I find you in faith, ”she added.

Gleycy had complications after undergoing surgery following complicated tonsillitis. The wake began the same Monday, in Macaé, in Rio de Janeiro, and his funeral took place on Tuesday, June 21. Now her body rests in the Memorial Cemetery.

“Today the sky received but one beautiful star. My love, I am very sad to know that you are gone and you will not be among us always giving us that wonderful hug and always with that beautiful smile on your face, ”said another friend.

The organization of Miss Brasil United Continents also used social networks to mourn the death of Gleycy Correia. The note of regret affirms that the memory of the Brazilian’s smile will help mitigate the pain of the family.

Who was Gleycy Correia?

Born in Macaé, in the north of Fluminense, the former Miss Brazil United Continents in 2018, Gleycy Correia, was an enterprising woman in the areas of beauty and aesthetic procedures and published material on congresses and courses in which she participated. Gleycy claimed to be an expert in permanent makeup (the process of pigmentation of the skin) and she also removed tattoos with lasers.

The former miss also shared with her followers that since she was a child she wanted to be independent. Her first step was taken at the age of 8 when she got her first job as a manicurist.

“I have always loved working, having my little money. I dreamed of my independence. It was gigantic happiness for each conquered client, ”she wrote in a text published in 2016.

Gleycy Correia used his example to try to motivate his followers: “Did they ever tell you that your goals were too far away? That you were ‘crazy’ to invest so much in something with no certainty of success?

The model also spoke of her humble origins and the struggle of her parents to raise her, both of whom were role models for the young woman.

“A family of fighters, and even with millions of flaws, there is a lot of love in this family. They always went above and beyond for me, I am so grateful,” she posted.

The moments of relaxation were also shared by the beautiful young woman. There are travel photos, one of them of Paris, and beaches and tourist attractions. Along with photos of her, Gleycy always wrote texts in which she celebrated her life.

“Life is short. Break the rules, forgive quickly, drink slowly, truly love, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile with your soul,” Gleycy Correia wrote in a post.
