Instagram is not giving up on its attempt to take the lead from TikTok within the most used social networks in the world.
Since the creation of the Reels, the platform has not stopped innovating to keep up with the pace of the Asian social network.
As part of these new features, Meta’s proprietary platform is working to extend the length of each video from 60 to 90 seconds, to allow content creators to develop more complete videos.
New length of videos in Reels
The information was released by the popular tweeter Alessandro Paluzzi, who is characterized by filtering information from the most important social networks.
Through a tweet, the programmer pointed out that Instagram is already close to launching the new duration of the videos in its Reels section.
In the capture that shows Paluzzi’s leak, it can be seen how the clock on the right of the screen shows the number 90, where it is indicated that this is the maximum duration that the recordings will have.
Length of videos on TikTok
Despite this new implementation of Reels, TikTok users already have several weeks to watch videos up to 3 minutes longer than the maximum time allowed by the Asian social network.
Last year it was announced that the tool evaluated duration of up to 5 minutes per video.
