This Tuesday the Senate of the United States raised a resolution to ask to investigate the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin; in addition, also for the Armed Forces of that country, for his actions in the Ukrainian country.
Although this does not have the same force as a law, it serves to support the investigations that the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has begun, resulting in 40 countries positioning themselves in favor of it.
On this, the Senate of the North American country condemned war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the systematic violation of human rights that the Russian Armed Forces and military commanders are committing, at the direction of President Vladimir Putin.
They also expressed their support for any investigation of war crimes or crimes against humanity carried out against Putin, his army, or his government.
