Russian President Vladimir Putin will personally come to say goodbye to LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky was a Russian ultranationalist politician and the leader of the populist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia since its creation in 1992 until his death. He was a member of the State Duma since 1993 and leader of the LDPR group in the State Duma from 1993 to 2000, and from 2011 to 2022

“Yes. The president will definitely say goodbye to Vladimir Volfovich,” Peskov answered a question from a URA.RU correspondent.

The Kremlin spokesman also noted that Zhirinovsky was an integral part of Russia’s recent history. “Everything he did was aimed at improving the lives of our people and strengthening our country,” he summed up.

Since February 9, the politician has been in the hospital, he was diagnosed with coronavirus. All this time, different data appeared in the media about the state of health of the politician: insiders regularly said that it was deteriorating, while the party denied this. The fact that Zhirinovsky was gone was announced by speaker Vyacheslav Volodin at a meeting of the State Duma. Leonid Slutsky will temporarily act as leader of the Liberal Democratic Party.
