He stated this at a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the NATO countries, according to European Pravda.
“The oil embargo is not included in the fifth package of sanctions, which is being discussed today, we are talking about coal. However, this will be discussed on Monday at a meeting of foreign ministers,” Borrell said.
“Sooner or later, I hope sooner, it will happen,” he added.
Borrell stressed that it is necessary to continue the pressure on Russia and support Ukraine.
“Zelenskyy has a lot of support. But what he really needs is more guns. Less applause and more guns,” he said.
Recall that on April 6, the White House announced new sanctions against the Russian Federation for the aggressive war against Ukraine and the actions of its military. In particular, sanctions were imposed against Putin’s daughters and “totally blocking” sanctions against the key Russian bank Sberbank and the largest private bank Alfa Bank.
