The Ministry of Health released this Thursday (24) new figures on the Covid-19 pandemic in the country. According to a daily survey carried out by the ministry, Brazil accumulates 29,767,681 confirmed cases of the disease and 658,310 recorded deaths.

In 24 hours, the ministry recorded 37,690 cases and 312 deaths from covid. The total number of patients recovered from the disease add up to 28,407,457 (95.4% of cases).

With this, the moving average of deaths in the last 7 days is 269 – the lowest since January 21, when it was 257. Compared to the average of 14 days ago, the variation was -42%, indicating a trend of drop in deaths from the disease.

STATES

The state of São Paulo has the highest number of accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic: 5.2 million, in addition to 166,900 deaths. Next are Minas Gerais (3.3 million cases and 60.6 thousand deaths), Paraná (2.4 million cases and 42.8 thousand deaths) and the Rio Grande do Sul (2.2 million cases and 38, 9 thousand deaths).

Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Roraima had no record of death by Covid in the last 24 hours. Espírito Santo did not release data due to a technical problem.

The country also recorded 35,544 new diagnoses of Covid-19 in 24 hours, completing 29,764,701 known cases since the start of the pandemic. With this, the moving average of cases in the last 7 days was 34,145.

At its worst, the moving average surpassed the mark of 188,000 known daily cases on January 31 this year.
