After Televisa announced the unauthorized bioseries of Vicente Fernández, the family of “El Charro de Huentitán” took action on the matter and asked to suspend the premiere of the project.
As reported by ” El Universal “, a federal judge ordered Televisa to suspend the premiere of “The Last King: The Son of the People”, which was scheduled for March 14.
In this lawsuit, the family of Vicente Fernández alleged that Televisa violated extracontractual relationships; to trademark law; improper use of artistic name reserved before the National Institute of Copyright (Indautor); unfair competition, among others.
In fact, the judge informed the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) not to allow the series to go out or for the television station to use the concession that the Mexican State gave it to broadcast the material.
As if this were not enough, the singer’s family also asked the Mexican Institute of Intellectual Property (IMPI) for various preventive measures to prevent the content from being transmitted.
Given the request, the IMPI ordered the San Ángel television station to withdraw from circulation all products related to the series, such as the use of its artistic name and any adaptation.
Participating in this series produced by Juan Osorio are Pablo Montero, as Vicente Fernández; Vicente Miranda, who will play Alejandro Fernández; and Emilio Osorio, an actor who will play Alex Fernández, son of “Potrillo” with his former partner, América Guinart.
NETFLIX IS THE ONLY ONE AUTHORIZED TO BROADCAST THE VICENTE FERNÁNDEZ SERIES
It is worth mentioning that the only authorized series by Vicente Fernández is the one that will star Jaime Camil and will be broadcast on Netflix.
