The TikTok community is mourning the loss of a rising star.
Social media celebrity Cooper Noriega died June 9 at the age of 19, according to a coroner’s file obtained by E! News.
According to sources, a passerby called 911 after discovering the unconscious TikToker in a mall parking lot outside Los Angeles. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after but were unable to revive the young man.
TMZ reports that foul play is not suspected and an autopsy will be performed.
Just hours before his death, Cooper took to TikTok with a cryptic post for his followers.
As he lay in bed, he wrote, “Who else is thinking they’re going to die young?”
Earlier this week, Cooper also expressed a desire to speak about mental health within a trusted community. He also talked about his struggle with addiction which he started when he was 9 years old…
“I would like to use the influence I have been given to create a space based on spreading awareness and normalizing talking about mental illness.” He continued, “My goal is to eventually open a rehab center where non-traumatized people are at the end of their recovery, and where the staff meets trusted people.”
Shortly after his death was confirmed, close friends expressed their condolences online and shared their fondest memories of the TikTok star.
