Starship Entertainment has confirmed that eight members of Cosmic Girls have decided to renew their contracts with the agency, assuring fans that the group will continue to promote themselves both collectively and individually in music and other fields.
According to the label, “Hello, and welcome to Starship Entertainment. First and foremost, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to WUJUNGs both in Korea and around the world who continue to cheer on Cosmic Girls with unwavering hearts.

Exy, Seola, Bona, Soobin, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeonjung’s exclusive contracts with Starship Entertainment have been renewed.
In the case of members Luda and Dawon, the agency held extensive and sincere discussions with both artists; however, our exclusive contracts with the two members have expired.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Luda and Dawon for their perseverance and hard work throughout their promotions. Starship respects Luda and Dawon’s decisions and offers them support and encouragement on their new paths.
Furthermore, we wish to inform you that the team contracts of Cosmic Girls members Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao, and Meiqi, as well as Yuehua Entertainment artists who promoted as Cosmic Girls with the other members and the agency, have expired.

Starship Entertainment intends to focus its best efforts on the eight Cosmic Girls members who decided to renew their contracts based on mutual trust and loyalty, so that the members can shine even brighter in both their group and individual activities.

Cosmic Girls made their debut as a 13-member group with “MoMoMo” in February 2016. Beginning in 2018, the group focused on promoting as a ten-member unit, with Chinese members Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao, and Meiqi directing their efforts overseas.
