The fortune of media mogul Rupert Murdoch (91) is estimated by the business magazine “Forbes” at the equivalent of around 16 billion francs. A number that is hard to imagine. To illustrate: a billion is a thousand million. Now the question arises of how much of it his ex-wife Jerry Hall (65) is entitled to. The two were married for six years.
Lawyer Mark Stephens assessed the British “Daily Mail”. He says Rupert Murdoch appears to have signed a “rather generous” marriage contract. Rupert Murdoch’s business empire – which owns some of the world’s largest newspapers – is unlikely to be affected.
Although Hall is entitled to tens of millions of francs, she will probably be paid more in the form of everyday expenses. “She’ll fund her lifestyle without a money transfer,” Stephens said.

However, it could be about some properties the couple has acquired since marrying in 2016. In 2019 they bought a property in Oxfordshire worth around 13 million francs, and a year later a hotel in southwest England that was earmarked for a restoration project costing around 35 million francs.
But it can be even more expensive: last December they bought a cattle farm in the USA for around 268 million francs. They also own an apartment in New York, an apartment in the expensive Mayfair area of London, a winery in Los Angeles, and another sheep and cattle farm in Australia.
