One more success from the Marvel Studios, the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is ticking away. At least, that’s what the director of the third – and, apparently, final – episode of the saga, James Gunn meant.
Thanks – but Vol. 3 will end the trilogy. https://t.co/XhiUlm0EvA

In a conversation on Twitter, Gunn made it clear that the third installment of the series will also close the story of the space team. It all started when a fan asked him to make many films in the story because he loves the characters too much. The director then replied, “Thank you, but Vol. 3 will end the saga.”
Then another fan tried to balance things by saying “yes, a trilogy means three, Mr. Gunn can make more movies.” However, to the despair of the followers, the director responded once again confirming that the 3rd volume would be the end of the story. “Yes, Vol. 3 will end this Guardian journey and complete the story of the three films.”
In addition to being one of the most beloved franchises in the universe of Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy is also an important piece to understand in depth the plot of Avengers: Infinite War. The latest episode of the trilogy is set to debut in 2020.
