A recent leak for the upcoming video game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is exciting news for enthusiasts. Pre-orders for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora appear to be going online soon. Avatar: The Way of Water, the long-awaited sequel to James Cameron’s record-breaking sci-fi action picture Avatar, which went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time, was released last year by Disney.

It appears that the game is finally nearing completion.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was announced in 2017 by Ubisoft studio Massive Entertainment, the producer of The Division series, who confirmed that it was starting work on a video game set in James Cameron’s Avatar universe.
Frontiers of Pandora was announced in a 2021 in-engine teaser, which stated that the game will be a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S generation exclusive title. The game was supposed to be out in 2022, around the time Avatar: The Way of Water came out, however it was eventually pushed back to 2023/2024.
Nothing official has been seen regarding Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora since that E3 2021 teaser, but it appears that Ubisoft will begin promoting the game soon, as a Twitter user with access to Ubisoft’s digital storefront backend has claimed that pre-orders for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will soon go live.
The user also uploaded a screenshot of the game’s pre-order incentives, which include a DLC pack called “The Child of Two Worlds Pack,” which includes a cosmetic set and a weapon skin.
Other from the recent revelation that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be a standalone story set during Avatar: The Way of Water’s six-month time gap, little little is known about what Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will adapt from the film series.
The game is being created in close collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment, a production business co-founded by James Cameron, with Cameron overseeing the game’s narrative components.
It’s unclear which areas of Pandora will be accessible, but the game will be an open-world action adventure game, similar to Ubisoft’s Far Cry series, according to several fans.
There is a lot of potential in the world of Pandora to be reflected through video games, and after the huge success of Avatar: The Way of Water, Frontiers of Pandora has a huge name to live up to, but it could potentially be one of the biggest successes of 2023 in the same way that WB Games’ Hogwarts Legacy has been. It’s unclear how Ubisoft plans to debut the gameplay, whether through a video or a showcase event.
