Kim Kardashian’s head-to-toe all-black Balenciaga look was probably the most talked about outfit at the 2021 Met Gala. Whether they loved it or hated it, the reality star had to get by all night long as he could barely see through the mask.
The much-talked-about “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star ensemble sparked countless memes from the moment she hit the famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. One of the most viral photos was a shot of the moment when her sister Kendall Jenner first saw Kim on the red carpet with a puzzled expression on her face.

In the photo, 25-year-old Jenner looks confused as the 40-year-old mogul stands in front of her with outstretched arms and wears Balenciaga’s all-black look.
The Skims founder seemed to see the rumours about her appearance because she posted the meme-worthy photo with her sister and explained what it really felt like to walk the carpet in a full face mask.
While the founder of Skims went unusually undercover at this Met Gala, Kendall did the exact opposite. The supermodel attended in an haute couture Givenchy gown adorned with clear crystals over a corset. A sparkly high neck choker and a retro hairstyle completed the look.
Her dress paid homage to the late actress Audrey Hepburn’s iconic Givenchy gown from the dance scene in the 1964 film “My Fair Lady.”

Meanwhile, Kim caused a stir when she hit the red carpet with an unidentified man also covered in black from head to toe. The anonymous guest was thought by many to be the star’s ex-husband Kanye West, but it was later confirmed to be Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia who joined her for the night.
“Although Kanye will not be in attendance tonight, his presence will be felt on the carpet,” said a source published by People magazine. “It was Kanye who introduced Kim to Demna and he was instrumental in the newly formed relationship between her and Balenciaga.”
The “Donda” rapper stopped following his ex on Instagram while the Met Gala event was on, however, just hours later he started following her again.
The former couple has worked to maintain a good co-parenting relationship after the divorce. In particular, Kardashian supported her ex-husband’s work, bringing their four children to the first two parties to listen to West’s recent album, “Donda. ” During the musician’s controversial third listening party in Chicago, the socialite stunned fans when the ex-boyfriends seemingly recreated their wedding. However, sources say that Kim has no desire to rekindle her romance with the rapper.
